LEAH DEVORA`S POP ART CANVAS IS A CLASSIC AMERICAN POP ART EXPERIENCE118891

You might have seen Leah Devora`s striking and welcoming art on television hanging for the sets of HBO`s hit series, Entourage, along with E.R., Without having a Trace, West Wing and Six Feet Under or maybe at the Arc Light Theater on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where she had an exhibit of stars and celebrities on the walls between the concert halls. Her art is bold, exciting and delightful. I recieve inspired by daily life situations which i encounter and residing in the fact that was the first Old Hollywood neighborhood from the 1920s. Leah works in mixed media, on celebrity pop art for sale, on paper, installed on wood, combining pictures of photography manipulated and digitally painted over a computer, in addition to with traditional oil and acrylic paints.

My biggest strength is the power to visualize something from beginning to completion conceptually after which create my painting which has a very honest vision. I’m a colorist and that i really discover how to use color in my work as along with composition. When Leah gone to live in Los Angeles 5yrs ago, she was fascinated with every one of the freeways and particularly shopping carts appearing, disappearing, reappearing. From Silver Lake to Beverly Hills, shopping carts are scattered on front lawns, hanging out in groups, taking a rest on the garage or even waiting on the bus stop. They may be an indigenous area of the L.A. landscape. She integrates these images with the ones from the Golden Age of Hollywood. A few of my work comprises of imagery i call the Ghosts of La. Whether it is the abandoned shopping carts left about the sidewalks of Los Feliz or photos of silent film starlets, the energy of those displaced figurines haunt the neighborhoods of Hollywood of an past somewhat forgotten. The Ghosts that lie within the Hills, they walk amongst us. My landscapes are paintings which can be the personification of such motifs, a lot of them I combine with the silhouettes of Old Hollywood movie stars and freeways. I build the artwork using graphic design and oil painting techniques. I prefer paints, photography and paint digitally having an oil painting program on your computer.
