Every region possesses some particular characteristics using the people who are in it. These characteristics can reflect the region's economy, social behavior, social customs, location, commerce, industrialization, religion, along with other things.


The term 'demographics' is in essence a shortened way of that which you can call 'population characteristics'. Demographics include age, per capita income, mobility (with regards to travel time for you to work or amount of vehicles available), educational and academic amount of the folks, value of ownership (that includes properties and assets like homes, apartments, garden etc others), status of employment and in many cases the topography in the region. Demographics find its use within survey, opinion research, political research, and assessment of the changing trends of consumer behavior and it is patterns. But Demographics is best used by marketing managers, because the various characteristics of individuals reflect their tastes and give a concept of the possibilities of the sales returns of a launched product in a given area. Demographics may be called an art and a science. Unlike demography, which puts concentrate on biological processes like population dynamics, demographics make an effort to grasp what individuals think as well as what they are ready to buy. Demographics might be studied within the following heads: 1) Demographic variables - the groupings with the consumers and other such communities done by social and marketing analysts. The most frequently employed ones are: age, sex, sexual orientation, family size, household size, family life-cycle, income, occupation, education, home ownership, socioeconomic status, religion and nationality. 2) Demographic profiles - concept of several demographic variables. 3) Demographic trends - predictability of the demographic shifts.
