The bride`s Greek roots as well as the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, for restaurants manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at the rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she i never thought love could hit so all-around home. But after three and a half years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right from the identical view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were designed to go to a birthday dinner using a number of friends,” says the bride to be. “As we had arrived leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there was a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and the man wanted to go up to the rooftop pool to evaluate it out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, using a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting simply for her to express yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
