The key character, Luffy gets to be a pirate, who dreams of becoming the subsequent Pirate King and sets over to recruit crewmates and initiate his adventures. This tells the plot of just one Piece. Nonetheless, this anime didn't become great over night. One Piece has a great history that will allow it become what everyone considers to be the greatest manga ever created.

One Piece all began with the creator, Eiichiro Oda. Eiichiro Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama's Dragonball and Dr. Slump in a early age. Since childhood, he took a liking to Vikings and the man aspired as a manga artist. Afterwards, Oda created Pandaman for Yudetamago's Kinnikuman. During 1992, Oda when he was 17, posted the manga called Required. This got him noticed, enough so that you can join the employees inside the Weekly Shonen Jump paper. There, he became an assistant under several established manga freelance writers including Shinobu Kaitani, Masaya Tokuhiro, and finally, Nobuhiro Watsuki. Oda had desired to create a pirate manga from his dependence on vikings during his youth, and that he seemed to be inspired through various pirate events such as the discovery of the pirate vessel of Edward Teach, often known as Bleackbeard. He wrote two separate one-shots during the mid-1990s, each of which were called "Romance Dawn". The stories introduced Monkey D. Luffy, the straw-hat wearing boy who tries to sail the water to become legendary pirate. Several concepts for the eventual serialization appeared with these stories, including Luffy's inspiration to be a pirate and the mysterious power he gained from eating a particular fruit that turned his body into rubber. Some might recognize this concept mainly because it concerns One Piece's concept regarding Devil Fruits. Around August 1997, Oda took the majority of his "Romance Dawn" ideas and commenced with them inside a weekly serial beneath the particular title "One Piece". It turned out first serialized in Shonen Jump, the weekly shonen magazine operated and owned by Shueisha. The actual series quickly caught on and became popular through the initial chapters and onwords, becoming one of many premiere manga series within the magazine. In the beginning, Oda wanted his series running for five years, meaning One Piece would've led to 2002, yet he went longer than expected. Today, people have no idea what number of more years his story will likely take. Oda had already planned the ending right away of just one Piece. Despite the time it should take him in order to complete it, he was quoted saying he'll end One Piece the best way he planned from the beginning. One Piece has since spanned throughout the borders of Japan becoming something higher than a simple pirating tale. After some time from its serialization, One Piece has taken different directions rolling around in its storyline sometimes wavering through the initial focus from the pursuit for become Pirate King. One Piece has even been noted to include many themes like what treasure is, the meaning of justice combined with idea of chasing dreams.
