For individuals who spent my youth from the 80 music, the music activity of this decade will continue the soundtrack towards the key moments of our own lives. Music acts as a time machine, transporting us back over the years and rekindling memories, the two pros and cons, and 1980s music provided a tune for every event in that tumultuous decade.

The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest and also the music reflected this requirement of change. The last decade began hanging on to the coattails from the Punk revolution that took direct action against the bland musical fare with the late seventies, but finished stadium rock, manufactured mass produced pop and a confidence and swagger that matched earth's mood even as entered the 90's within a spirit of optimism and hope with falling of the Iron Curtain in 1989. The dawn of the MTV era meant the look and feel of the band was as essential as their musical ability this also principle was seized upon through the New Romantic Movement, who dressed flamboyantly and daubed themselves with makeup -annoying their elders as much as it delighted their peers. Having begun in this state of flux, 1980s music continued to evolve as technology emerged and artists, musicians and film makers did start to experiment. However, because decade unfurled, therefore the mainstream music, again, returned to some formulaic approach together with the production companies, such as the phenomenally successful 'Stock, Aitkin and Waterman' manufacture hit after hit after hit of disposable pop. This saw the growth with the producer - leading males and females of the bands selected all the because of their eye candy appeal as any talent or ability to write songs and play instruments. Music had truly become just as much a visible medium just as one aural one. Nevertheless, a robust 'alternative' scene survived through these times, as diverse as Indie rock and pop, Goth, Rap and House. 1980s music laid the foundations for so high of the background music we tune in to today.
