In the last 40 years the 1st week of January is one of the most significant weeks, or even the most important, for consumer electronic manufacturers as well as the reason behind the reason being that that's when one of the most prestigious Electronic devices fair is on. Located in Las Vegas Nevada, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is really a major technological related trade event. A small amount of history: The very first CES show occured in New York in 1967. Through the numerous years of 1978 to 1994 CES had been held twice yearly, once in the summer in Chicago and when in winter held in Las Vegas. However, SCES begin to loose popularity plus the summer months of 1995 organisers made a decision to put the display on the street, consecutive failures resulted in the cancellation from the summer show plus a once a year format was implemented. Over the years the Consumer Electronics Show has been the principle stage of notable products introductions, it would be virtually impossible chatting all products and technologies introduced at CES in the past, here is often a compilation of the superior ones in chronological order: 1970: Was 4 seasons if the Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) was introduced. 1974: Was marked by the introduction with the Laser disc player. 1981: Two notable introductions in 2010; the Compact disk (CD) and the Camcorder. 1985: First notable revolution within the gaming industry with all the introduction of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). 1996: Year if the DVD was introduced. 1998: HDTV was introduced. 2001: Microsoft introduced its the game console the Xbox. 2008: Panasonic stole all of the attention by releasing 150 inch Plasma TVs as thin as 0.46 inches. 2009: Highlights on the impressive amount of exhibiting companies, +2,700 and the introduction of 3-D Home theatre.
