During the last 40 years the 1st week of January is one of the most important weeks, or else the main, for consumer electronic manufacturers and also the reason for this is because that's when the most prestigious Electronics fair is on. Locked in Las Vegas Nevada, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is often a major technological related trade show. Sponsored through the Gadgets Association, the Exame.com is a trade-only show not ready to accept the general public, which is where manufacturers announce, introduce and preview future products.

A small amount of history: The very first CES show occured in New York in 1967. From the many years of 1978 to 1994 CES had been held twice a year, once in the summer in Chicago and once in winter locked in Las Vegas. However, SCES started to loose popularity as well as in summer time of 1995 organisers made a decision to place the display on the trail, consecutive failures triggered the cancellation with the summer show and a once a year format was adopted. Over time the Consumer Electronics Show may be the key stage of notable products introductions, it would be virtually impossible to list out all products and technologies introduced at CES in the past, so here can be a compilation of the highest ones in chronological order: 1970: Was the season once the Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) was introduced. 1974: Was marked through the introduction of the Laser disc player. 1981: Two notable introductions this year; the Compact disk (CD) as well as the Camcorder. 1985: First notable revolution inside the gaming industry together with the introduction with the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). 1996: Year once the DVD was introduced. 1998: HDTV was introduced. 2001: Microsoft introduced its gaming system the Xbox. 2008: Panasonic stole all of the attention by releasing 150 inch Plasma TVs as thin as 0.46 inches. 2009: Highlights for the impressive amount of exhibiting companies, +2,700 and the introduction of 3-D Entertainment.
