In the last 40 years the very first week of January is probably the most significant weeks, or else the main, for consumer electronic manufacturers along with the reason behind this is because then probably the most prestigious Electronic devices fair is on. Located in Las Vegas Nevada, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a major technological related trade show. A little bit of history: The initial CES show occured in New York in 1967. Through the many years of 1978 to 1994 CES was once held twice a year, once during the warm months in Chicago and once in the winter months kept in Las Vegas. However, SCES begun to loose popularity along with the summer of 1995 organisers decided to place the display on the road, consecutive failures triggered the cancellation of the summer show and a one per year format was applied. Over time the Consumer Electronics Show may be the primary stage of notable products introductions, it would be virtually impossible to list out all products and technologies introduced at CES in the past, so here can be a compilation of the highest ones in chronological order: 1970: Was the entire year once the Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) was introduced. 1974: Was marked by the introduction of the Laser disc player. 1981: Two notable introductions this year; the Compact Disc (CD) along with the Camcorder. 1985: First notable revolution within the gaming industry using the introduction from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). 1996: Year in the event the DVD was introduced. 1998: HDTV was introduced. 2001: Microsoft introduced its the game console the Xbox. 2008: Panasonic stole all the attention by releasing 150 inch Plasma TVs as thin as 0.46 inches. 2009: Highlights towards the impressive variety of exhibiting companies, +2,700 along with the introduction of 3-D Home Entertainment.
