During the last 40 years the initial week of January is among the most crucial weeks, or else the most crucial, for consumer electronic manufacturers and also the basis for this is because that is when probably the most prestigious Consumer Electronics fair is on. Held in Las Vegas Nevada, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) can be a major technological related trade show. Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association, the Exame.com is often a trade-only show not offered to the public, which is where manufacturers announce, introduce and preview future products.

A bit of history: The first CES show occured in New York in 1967. From the many years of 1978 to 1994 CES used to be held each, once in the summer in Chicago as soon as during the cold months kept in Las Vegas. However, SCES started to loose popularity and in the summer of 1995 organisers made a decision to place the visible on the road, consecutive failures generated the cancellation from the summer show plus a one per year format was adopted. Over the years the Consumer Electronics Show has become the main stage of notable products introductions, it will be virtually impossible to read all products and technologies introduced at CES over time, so here is a compilation of the highest ones in chronological order: 1970: Was 4 seasons when the Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) was introduced. 1974: Was marked with the introduction in the Laser disc player. 1981: Two notable introductions this year; the Compact Disc (CD) and the Camcorder. 1985: First notable revolution within the gaming industry using the introduction with the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). 1996: Year if the DVD was introduced. 1998: HDTV was introduced. 2001: Microsoft introduced its gaming console the Xbox. 2008: Panasonic stole all of the attention by releasing 150 inch Plasma TVs as thin as 0.46 inches. 2009: Highlights to the impressive number of exhibiting companies, +2,700 as well as the introduction of 3-D Home Entertainment.
