My daughter i recently started our dream business of collecting and renewing furniture together with the awesome medium of paint. Once we were studying the thought of painting furniture, we came across chalk and have never looked back! Such a pleasure to have found and ventured into the world of painted furniture. In terms of we understand, Annie Sloan developed this specialty paint in her own home country of England and launched it over there in 1990. Recently they have taken America by storm and also the whole community of creative furniture painters have been in awe!

It goes on easily, dries quickly and most importantly, sand off magnificently in locations where you want to build the "distressed" look. We are looking towards using this medium and studying the likelihood of the way we can make new art pieces from unwanted blah, brown furniture pieces. Old Fashioned Milk Paint is yet another paint medium that we are starting to explore with, with a texture and take care of that may create an authentic, vintage look. We like to vintage and antique furniture, or a content article of furniture that we can paint and provides that distinguished older or distressed look. I've painted many home furniture over my well being here we are at use in home, but not so very long ago, Karla and i also made a decision to undertake it with a fulltime basis. After recently renewing a classic dresser to be with her bedroom, correct in our back yard, the theory to get this done like a business, dawned for us. Some individuals might not like the idea of painted antique furniture, but the pieces we love to renew would be the the one that people no longer find attractive. The ones that provide us with an issue of how we can easily allow it to be beautiful and appealing once more. Those that could end up in the land fill, prematurely. So in simple terms, were recycling, renewing, re-purposing and improving the planet a bit within the same time!
