We have to have the ability to agree with what words mean. It appears as if this kind of obvious matter not really value mention, because language is easy enough things. They mean the things they mean, everyone knows those definitions. So why whether it is necessary to explain that we have to acknowledge them if we already do?Mostly because some people seem to believe it is a good idea to subvert the established meanings of words for his or her own political purposes.

These folks recklessly exaggerate and outright lie to experience their ends, as well as the loser is the English language. This misuse of words creates exactly what are called “buzzwords”. They're used frequently everywhere in the political spectrum, but the left appears to have a specific penchant for employing them, as well as of their favorites to utilize against those in alternative right are “racist” and “xenophobe”.Prior to getting into what is being done to these words frequently, let's ask ourselves: Will we understand and agree upon the things they mean? It's worth the cost to essentially think of that question, because history shows us precisely how ugly these words may be. Previously, it absolutely was common worldwide (including, sadly, in the usa) for those of African descent to be subjugated and enslaved for free labor by whites around the understanding, assumed, that blacks were inherently inferior and possessed of no human rights which whites were certain to respect (to explain an exceptionally vile Supreme Court decision inherited within the nineteenth century). That's racism. Moreover, within this ach day, you can find people belonging to a specific religion who are so convinced of the rightness of their faith and the wickedness coming from all others that they are wholly intolerant of people which profess a different world view. Those who are not like options are punished in numerous ways, including with death. That's xenophobia. The left wants to throw these words around like they don't describe true evil, and make use of these to label people of your right wing political persuasion and the ones from the Alt Right movement. And why? Do you know the crimes of the people so branded? Usually being suspicious of individuals from parts of the globe proven to harbor terrorists (like the aforementioned religious zealots) and looking to promote border security against illegal invasions from people who get lucky and overwhelmingly belong to a specific ethnicity. That, on the left, is xenophobia and racism - our buzzwords for the day.
