LEAH DEVORA`S POP ART CANVAS IS REALY A CLASSIC AMERICAN POP ART EXPERIENCE7438933

You may have seen Leah Devora`s striking and alluring art in the media hanging on the teams of HBO`s hit series, Entourage, as well as E.R., Without A Trace, West Wing and Six Feet Under or perhaps with the Arc Light Theater on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where she had an exhibition of stars and celebrities for the walls relating to the movie theaters. Her art is bold, exciting beautiful. I recieve inspired by every day life situations i encounter and residing in what was the initial Old Hollywood neighborhood in the 1920s. Leah works in mixed media, on celebrity pop art, in some recoverable format, attached to wood, combining images of photography manipulated and digitally painted on the computer, as well as with traditional oil and acrylic paints.

My biggest strength will be the capacity to visualize something from start to completion conceptually and after that create my painting using a very honest vision. They are an indigenous area of the L.A. landscape. She integrates these images with the ones from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Some of my work comprises of imagery that I call the Ghosts of La. May it be the abandoned shopping carts left about the sidewalks of Los Feliz or photos of silent film starlets, the force of such displaced figurines haunt the neighborhoods of Hollywood of the past somewhat forgotten. The Ghosts that lie beneath the Hills, they walk amongst us. My landscapes are paintings which can be the personification of those motifs, a lot of them I match the silhouettes of Old Hollywood celebrities and freeways. I build the artwork using graphics and oil painting techniques. I personally use paints, photography and paint digitally by having an oil painting program on the computer.
