A visiting lecturer in the University of Brighton has launched a publishing initiative to improve funds for educating Syrian children surviving in camps in Iraqi Kurdistan. In October 2015 Julie Pratten told us that they received a Facebook message seeking aid from a logistics officer at the Domiz camp near Dohuk in Iraqi Kurdistan. She then launched a crowdfunding initiative to raise money to set up a school in the camp.
