The bride`s Greek roots and also the groom`s Scottish heritage combined within an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never thought love could hit so all-around home. But after three and a half numerous years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right from the exact same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were meant to go to a birthday dinner having a band of friends,” says bride. “As we had arrived leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there was a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and wanted to go to the rooftop pool to evaluate it.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to find the terrace encircled by candles, with a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting simply for her to express yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
