The bride`s Greek roots and the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, in a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so all-around home. But after three and a half numerous years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right in the similar view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were designed to visit a birthday dinner with a group of friends,” says bride. “As we had been leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed that there was a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and that he wanted to go to the rooftop pool to check on it out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, with a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting just for her to convey yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
