The bride`s Greek roots along with the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in the over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, in a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never thought love could hit so near to home. But after three and a half many years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right within the very same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were supposed to search for a birthday dinner with a band of friends,” says the bride. “As i was leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there was a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and wanted to go up to the rooftop pool to test against each other.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, which has a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting exclusively for her to express yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
