Previously couple weeks the theme has been the brand new Year--this will be the year we will be healthier, stop smoking, make and spend less money, wardrobe raise, in order to find Mr or Ms Right or escape their bond that doesn't work. TV, radio as well as the internet bombard us with services promising you'll get it right this time around. The subliminal message is this past year you've got failed doing something. An excessive amount of emphasis is put on "out together with the old plus with the new". Yes, yesteryear year was imperfect, this also year will be imperfect too. We study our mistakes, most importantly we study from our successes. Look not merely at our flaws, but our potential. Elect to make this a good, empowering time. In case your goal was to lose 10# so you lost only 5# perhaps you have failed? Didn't you've got some terrific experiences you would not trade? Weren't those family dinners' experiences would you trade? You can make more different options in 07 without feeling those involved with 06 were disasters.
Anais Nin bakes an unfortunate but typical quote. "I made no resolutions for the Year. The habit of smoking of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding playing, is simply too a daily event for me."
Consider resolving to put those types of quotes "out" and provide from the "new" with a positive happy new year 2016. Get this simply an empowering year to make one resolution it is possible to live with. This year, resolve to get started on the New Year considering your successes and never seeing only failure. Examine, replicate and celebrate the successes. Take the best success in 06, scrutinize what you did to generate the success, the tactics and strategies - and do it again.
I learned this from a very wise manager. I had created just closed an extremely large and enriching contract. My manager called me directly into speak about "what is next". I brought up targets, prospects, SWOT's, the normal salesperson debriefing. He patiently listened and explained that wasn't the knowledge he wanted. Call your visitors and thank them. With this call don't try to sell them something (don't close the doorway on an opportunity either) but call without other motive instead of say "thank you".
Strengthen existing relationships. Review your client list. Target existing clients to get more business and plan how would you make it.
Bring about your industry. Get involved with a market related nonprofit or trade organization as being a volunteer and create a difference.
Keep learning. Require a course, hire a coach, and then grow professionally.
Step out of your comfort zone. Make those marketing calls! Call anyone each day you do not know.
Come up with a marketing strategy, calendar and daily action item list. When you have one, dust them back, revise it to make it current and relevant in 07.
Provide your knowledge. Do greater than sell a product. Build a manner in which you can include value in your product.
Differentiate. Get a new niche and grow it! Explore trends and anticipate change.
Quit whining! While you will find things through your control, draw upon your resiliency to find out the opportunity in change. "No one can possibly cause you to be a sufferer without your permission!" to produce a variation of the famous Eleanor Roosevelt quote.
Remember that one's body and self will be the machine which make it all happen. Manage yourself in all of the ways.
Spend meaningful time with the fam and spouse and children. Tell them how important they are to you--often. They are really the reason why carry out what we should do.
Keep all of your experiences and build in it. Tear nothing down, throw nothing out, keep the mistakes as lessons learned.
