One Piece all began with the creator, Eiichiro Oda. Eiichiro Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama's Dragonball and Dr. Slump in a early age. Since childhood, he took a liking to Vikings and he aspired to be a manga artist. Afterwards, Oda created Pandaman for Yudetamago's Kinnikuman. During 1992, Oda at 17, posted the manga called Required. This got him noticed, enough as a way to join the employees from the Weekly Shonen Jump paper. There, he became a helper under several established manga freelance article writers including Shinobu Kaitani, Masaya Tokuhiro, and lastly, Nobuhiro Watsuki. Oda had wanted to make a pirate manga from his being hooked on vikings throughout his youth, and the man has also been inspired through various pirate events such as the discovery in the pirate vessel of Edward Teach, also known as Bleackbeard. He wrote two separate one-shots in the mid-1990s, because both versions were called "Romance Dawn". The stories introduced Monkey D. Luffy, the straw-hat wearing boy who efforts to sail the sea to turn into a legendary pirate. Several concepts about the eventual serialization appeared within these stories, including Luffy's inspiration if you are a pirate as well as the mysterious power he gained from eating an exclusive fruit that turned his body into rubber. Some might recognize this concept mainly because it pertains to One Piece's concept regarding Devil Fruits. Around August 1997, Oda took virtually all his "Romance Dawn" ideas and started using them in the weekly serial underneath the particular title "One Piece". It was first serialized in Shonen Jump, the weekly shonen magazine owned and operated by Shueisha. The specific series quickly caught on and have become popular in the initial chapters and onwords, establishing itself as among the premiere manga series inside the magazine. Initially, Oda wanted his series running for years, meaning One Piece would have ended in 2002, yet he went beyond expected. At this time, all people have no clue the number of more years his story will most likely take. Oda had already planned the ending in the first place of One Piece. Despite the length of time it may need him to complete it, he said he'll end One Piece the best way he planned right away. One Piece has since spanned through the borders of Japan becoming something regarding green simple pirating tale. Over the years by reviewing the serialization, One Piece has taken different directions in the storyline sometimes wavering from the initial focus in the pursuit for become Pirate King. One Piece has been noted to include many themes including what treasure is, madness of justice along with the notion of chasing dreams.
