One Piece is a story of the kid named Monkey D. Luffy who had been inspired through the pirate, Red-Haired Shanks. In the beginning in the series, 22 years prior to present timeline, a pirate named Gold Roger, referred to as the Pirate King have been executed. However, before his death, Gold Roger told the crowd about his treasure, Watchop. His death sparked what could end up being the Golden Era of Pirates as countless pirates attempt to search for his treasure. The main character, Luffy gets to be a pirate, who dreams of becoming the subsequent Pirate King and sets out to recruit crewmates and commence his adventures. This tells the plot of just one Piece. Nonetheless, this anime didn't become great overnight. One Piece features a great history that might let it become what everyone considers to be the greatest manga ever created.

One Piece all began together with the creator, Eiichiro Oda. Eiichiro Oda was inspired by Akira Toriyama's Dragonball and Dr. Slump at the early age. Since childhood, he took a liking to Vikings and he aspired as a manga artist. Afterwards, Oda created Pandaman for Yudetamago's Kinnikuman. During 1992, Oda when he was 17, posted the manga called Required. This got him noticed, enough in order to join the staff inside the Weekly Shonen Jump paper. There, he became a helper under several established manga freelancers including Shinobu Kaitani, Masaya Tokuhiro, and as a final point, Nobuhiro Watsuki. Oda had planned to come up with a pirate manga from his being hooked on vikings in his youth, and the man has also been inspired through various pirate events much like the discovery with the pirate vessel of Edward Teach, also known as Bleackbeard. He wrote two separate one-shots in the mid-1990s, because both versions were called "Romance Dawn". The stories introduced Monkey D. Luffy, the straw-hat wearing boy who endeavors to sail the sea becoming a legendary pirate. Several concepts on the eventual serialization appeared with these stories, including Luffy's inspiration for being a pirate along with the mysterious power he gained from eating an exclusive fruit that turned his body into rubber. Some might recognize this concept since it concerns One Piece's concept regarding Devil Fruits. Around August 1997, Oda took many his "Romance Dawn" ideas and started utilizing them in the weekly serial under the particular title "One Piece". It was first serialized in Shonen Jump, the weekly shonen magazine run by Shueisha. The specific series quickly caught on and became popular in the initial chapters and onwords, establishing itself as one of the premiere manga series within the magazine. In the beginning, Oda wanted his series running for 5 years, meaning One Piece would have resulted in 2002, yet he went beyond expected. Right this moment, everyone has little idea what number of more years his story probably will take. Oda had already planned the ending from the start of a single Piece. Despite the length of time it will take him to complete it, he was quoted saying he'll end One Piece the best way he planned from the start. One Piece has since spanned over the borders of Japan becoming something greater than a simple pirating tale. As time passes from the serialization, One Piece has had different directions in their storyline sometimes wavering through the initial focus in the mission for become Pirate King. One Piece has even been noted to incorporate many themes such as what treasure is, madness of justice with the notion of chasing dreams.
