I'm a Catholic and very proud to become. Hopefully wasn't enough to allow you to stop reading this article. Usually it only takes the reality that I'm Catholic for those that aren't Catholic to avoid speaking with me about religion. For the reason that many of us are human i must admit that we do not have the deepest knowledge of numerous religions, but I want to get rid of some of the myths in regards to the Traditional Catholic. First, Catholics do not worship statues. This can be a myth and one of the largest ones. Many protestants would like you employ this myth to state that Catholics worship idols, however this just isn't true. Why do we've statues within the Catholic church? Simple, back when there was clearly not the fantastic printing press and bibles were higher priced than most men's wages for several years, the Catholics used statues to train their young children concerning the bible.

If you feel over it to get a minute so you picture the statues inside the Catholic churches you'll know that each one has about one of the passages from your bible. This managed to get much easier to teach children about the bible. It can be visual as well as a parent can identify the storyline that the statues or stained glass windows represent with their children. Second, Catholics worship Mary and the Saints. This is so false which it almost makes me laugh. Anybody which says that Catholics worship Mary or Saints should study more about the Catholic religion before starting telling us that which you believe. Sure we pray on the saints and Mary, so why would we not. It simply is practical to question the ones that are in heaven to pray for you. We ask our family members to pray for all of us and our friends to pray for individuals, so why wouldn't you the saints and Mary. On another note about Mary. The forth commandment is to honor thy father and thy mother. If we all have been the brothers as well as the sisters of Jesus Christ, then Mary is our mother and we're designed to honor her also, right? Last, the Catholic church thinks they are a lot better than all the faiths and it is above them. It is deemed an attitude which comes from HUMAN BEINGS, not the Catholic church. The thing I run into more than anything else would be that the Catholic church did something, like molest little boys. You need to realize that even Priests are People, they sin. We are all humans this also means that the Catholic church is also not hypocritical because that's the HUMAN BEINGS from the church not the Catholic religion.
