The bride`s Greek roots as well as the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, with a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she i never thought love could hit so close to home. But after three and a half a lot of dating, Bancroft proposed-right in the very same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were meant to search for a birthday dinner which has a group of friends,” says bride. “As we had been leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there would have been a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and took it to the rooftop pool to check it out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to obtain the terrace encircled by candles, using a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting exclusively for her to state yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
