The bride`s Greek roots and the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at the rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so near home. But after 3 . 5 numerous years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right within the very same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were likely to go to a birthday dinner which has a number of friends,” says bride. “As we had arrived leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed that there was obviously a green light illuminating the Washington Monument anf the husband wanted to go to the rooftop pool to check out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to get the terrace encircled by candles, using a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting exclusively for her to convey yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
