The bride`s Greek roots and also the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in the over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so near home. But after 3 . 5 years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right within the similar view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on every other. “We were meant to search for a birthday dinner using a gang of friends,” says bride. “As we had been leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there would have been a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and that he took it to the rooftop pool to evaluate against each other.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to obtain the terrace encircled by candles, using a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting only for her to state yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
