For people who spent my childhood years within the 80s movies, the songs of this decade will continue to be the soundtrack on the key moments of our lives. Music acts as a time machine, transporting us back over time and rekindling memories, the pros and cons, and 1980s music provided a tune for every single event in that tumultuous decade.

The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest and the music reflected this dependence on change. The last decade began hanging on to the coattails of the Punk revolution that took direct action up against the bland musical fare with the late seventies, but through with stadium rock, manufactured mass produced pop as well as a confidence and swagger that matched the earth's mood even as entered the 90's inside a spirit of optimism and hope with falling in the Iron Curtain in 1989. The dawn from the MTV era resulted in the look and feel of an band was as important as their musical ability this also principle was seized upon by the New Romantic Movement, who dressed flamboyantly and daubed themselves with makeup -annoying their elders up to it delighted their peers. Having begun in this particular state of flux, 1980s music continued to evolve as technology emerged and artists, musicians and movie makers begun to experiment. However, because the decade unfurled, so the mainstream music, yet again, returned to some formulaic approach together with the production companies, much like the phenomenally successful 'Stock, Aitkin and Waterman' manufacture hit after hit after hit of disposable pop. This saw the growth from the producer - the leading women and men with the bands selected as much because of their eye candy appeal as any talent or capacity to write songs and play instruments. Music had truly become the maximum amount of a visible medium being an aural one. Nevertheless, a solid 'alternative' scene survived through these times, as diverse as Indie rock and pop, Goth, Reggae and House. 1980s music laid the principles for thus most of the songs we pay attention to today.
