The bride`s Greek roots and the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in a over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at the rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never thought love could hit so close to home. But after three and a half numerous years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right inside the similar view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on every other. “We were supposed to check out a birthday dinner with a gang of friends,” says the bride to be. “As we had been leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed that there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument anf the husband took it up to the rooftop pool to check on it.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to get the terrace encircled by candles, which has a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting exclusively for her to say yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
