'Rocky' Worth Search for Long-time Fans280856

After the excitement of Christmas morning died down, after we sat down to a good turkey dinner, my significant other and a couple of sons had one more gift for me. They required seem to the video theater to see 'Rocky Balboa.'

My partner knows the 'Rocky' movies are my all-time favorite sports movies. I've watched every one of them -- even putrid Rocky V -- many times. So, sooner or later I probably would have gone off on my own to check out this sixth installment.

In all honesty, as i heard Sylvester Stallone was generating a new Rocky movie I wasn't optimistic. I think there wasn't much new ground being covered, understanding that this could be one last, pathetic effort to make the most of the Rocky empire.

Yet, the pre-release reviews were superior to expected, and watching a clip intrigued me.

Turns out, 'Rocky Balboa' still has something to provide. It is just a good movie -- and not on par while using early Rocky movies, but a greater way to conclude the Rocky series versus the street fight that concluded Rocky V. At least, let's hope this can be a final Rocky film.

This movie returns Rocky to his roots in numerous ways. He could be down on his luck, dealing with the death of his wife, a painful relationship along with his son, a failing restaurant plus the feeling that they hasn't yet done everything he is expected to do.

A pc fight pitting him against current champ Mason Dixon where Rocky victories, leads to a package with an exhibition from the champ. Rocky, needless to say, accepts even though no one thinks he's any chance to remain competitive.

This film has everything fans of 'Rocky' movies have started to expect. An underdog story, great fight scenes, personal anguish, training scenes together with a go up the infamous levels in front of Philadelphia's City Hall, and snippets of moments using their company films.

If you are a fan with the Rocky movies, this can be a must-see. You may not come away thrilled like you did in the original movie, but you will be satisfied that 'Rocky Balboa' is really a worthy addition for the Rocky legacy.
