For all of us who spent my youth from the 80 music, the songs of that decade will stay the soundtrack towards the key moments in our lives. Music provides a time machine, transporting us back over the years and rekindling memories, the two good and the bad, and 1980s music provided a tune for every event for the reason that tumultuous decade.

The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest and the music reflected this need for change. The last decade began hanging onto the coattails in the Punk revolution that took direct action against the bland musical fare from the late seventies, but through with stadium rock, manufactured mass produced pop along with a confidence and swagger that matched our planet's mood even as we entered the 90's in a spirit of optimism and hope with falling from the Iron Curtain in 1989. The dawn of the MTV era meant the overall look of an band was as essential as their musical ability this also principle was seized upon by the New Romantic Movement, who dressed flamboyantly and daubed themselves with makeup -annoying their elders around it delighted their peers. Having begun in that state of flux, 1980s music continued to evolve as technologies emerged and artists, musicians and film makers begun to experiment. However, because the decade unfurled, therefore the mainstream music, once more, returned to some formulaic approach with the production companies, just like the phenomenally successful 'Stock, Aitkin and Waterman' manufacture hit after hit after hit of disposable pop. This saw the increase in the producer - the front men and women with the bands selected as much because of their eye candy appeal just like any talent or ability to write songs and play instruments. Music had truly become the maximum amount of a visible medium as an aural one. Nevertheless, a strong 'alternative' scene survived with these times, as diverse as Indie rock and pop, Goth, Reggae and House. 1980s music laid the foundations for so much of the songs we hear today.
