For everyone who spent my childhood years within the 80s music, the music activity of this decade will stay the soundtrack on the key moments of our own lives. Music provides a time machine, transporting us back over the years and rekindling memories, both good and bad, and 1980s music provided a tune for every single event for the reason that tumultuous decade.

The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest and also the music reflected this requirement of change. The last decade began hanging onto the coattails in the Punk revolution that took direct action contrary to the bland musical fare with the late seventies, but finished stadium rock, manufactured produced in higher quantities pop plus a confidence and swagger that matched our planet's mood even as entered the 90's in a spirit of optimism and hope with falling from the Iron Curtain in 1989. The dawn of the MTV era meant that the overall look of an band was as vital as their musical ability and also this principle was seized upon with the New Romantic Movement, who dressed flamboyantly and daubed themselves with makeup -annoying their elders around it delighted their peers. Having begun in this particular condition of flux, 1980s music continued to evolve as new technologies emerged and artists, musicians and film makers did start to experiment. However, because the decade unfurled, and so the mainstream music, yet again, returned into a formulaic approach together with the production companies, such as the phenomenally successful 'Stock, Aitkin and Waterman' manufacture hit after hit after hit of disposable pop. This saw the growth from the producer - leading males and females from the bands selected as much because of their eye candy appeal just like any talent or capacity to write songs and play instruments. Music had truly become the maximum amount of a visible medium just as one aural one. Nevertheless, a robust 'alternative' scene survived through these times, as diverse as Indie rock and pop, Goth, Hiphop and House. 1980s music laid the foundations for so much of the music activity we listen to today.
