For people who was raised in the 80s movies, the music of the decade will stay the soundtrack to the key moments of our own lives. Music provides a time machine, transporting us back over time and rekindling memories, the two good and the bad, and 1980s music provided a tune for each event in that tumultuous decade.

The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest along with the music reflected this dependence on change. The decade began hanging to the coattails in the Punk revolution that took direct action up against the bland musical fare in the late seventies, but carried out with stadium rock, manufactured produced in higher quantities pop and a confidence and swagger that matched earth's mood even as entered the 90's inside a spirit of optimism and hope with falling with the Iron Curtain in 1989. The dawn in the MTV era meant the looks of a band was as vital as their musical ability and also this principle was seized upon through the New Romantic Movement, who dressed flamboyantly and daubed themselves with makeup -annoying their elders around it delighted their peers. Having begun in that condition of flux, 1980s music continued to evolve as technologies emerged and artists, musicians and film makers did start to experiment. However, because the decade unfurled, and so the mainstream music, yet again, returned with a formulaic approach with all the production companies, just like the phenomenally successful 'Stock, Aitkin and Waterman' manufacture hit after hit after hit of disposable pop. This saw the increase in the producer - the front males and females with the bands selected just as much for eye candy appeal just like any talent or power to write songs and play instruments. Music had truly become the maximum amount of a visual medium being an aural one. Nevertheless, a robust 'alternative' scene survived through these times, as diverse as Indie rock and pop, Goth, Hiphop and House. 1980s music laid the principles for therefore much of the music activity we pay attention to today.
