For people who spent my youth inside the 1980s, the background music of that decade will continue to be the soundtrack on the key moments of our own lives. Music provides for a time machine, transporting us back over time and rekindling memories, both the good and bad, and 1980s music provided a tune for every event for the reason that tumultuous decade.

The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest along with the music reflected this need for change. The last decade began hanging to the coattails from the Punk revolution that took direct action against the bland musical fare with the late seventies, but through with stadium rock, manufactured produced in higher quantities pop along with a confidence and swagger that matched our planet's mood as we entered the 90's inside a spirit of optimism and hope with falling from the Iron Curtain in 1989. The dawn from the MTV era resulted in the looks of the band was as vital as their musical ability and this principle was seized upon with the New Romantic Movement, who dressed flamboyantly and daubed themselves with makeup -annoying their elders around it delighted their peers. Having begun in this state of flux, 1980s music continued to evolve as technology emerged and artists, musicians and movie makers started to experiment. However, because decade unfurled, hence the mainstream music, yet again, returned to a formulaic approach together with the production companies, such as the phenomenally successful 'Stock, Aitkin and Waterman' manufacture hit after hit after hit of disposable pop. This saw the increase with the producer - leading people from the bands selected just as much for his or her eye candy appeal as any talent or ability to write songs and play instruments. Music had truly become the maximum amount of a visible medium just as one aural one. Nevertheless, a robust 'alternative' scene survived through these times, as diverse as Indie rock and pop, Goth, Rap and House. 1980s music laid the foundations for thus much of the music activity we listen to today.
