For individuals who grew up in the the 80s, the music activity of these decade will continue to be the soundtrack to the key moments of our own lives. Music acts as a time machine, transporting us back over time and rekindling memories, both pros and cons, and 1980s music provided a tune for each event because tumultuous decade.


The 80s began in turmoil and social unrest and the music reflected this dependence on change. The decade began hanging on to the coattails in the Punk revolution that took direct action contrary to the bland musical fare in the late seventies, but finished with stadium rock, manufactured produced in higher quantities pop and a confidence and swagger that matched the earth's mood once we entered the 90's within a spirit of optimism and hope with falling in the Iron Curtain in 1989.
