Aerial photography is done professionally in field studies such as cartography, archeology, landing use plans, military economical espionage, advertising and cinematography. It's also a unique hobby practiced by many today. Practiced first in 1858 by Nadar, a french balloonist who made pictures over Paris and it was also predominantly used through the first world war with the army. It's got remained a great and efficient art of taking photographs.

It demands taking pictures on ground with cameras mounted on air crafts, balloons, helicopters only to mention a few. Nevertheless, to have an amateur who do not want investing in a plane, they can buy an astro-cam or some oracle rocket and continue enjoying aerial filming scotland like a hobby. Companies weren't omitted with this and they have small radio control air crafts utilized for this purpose since flight over residential places is proscribed at certain heights. In evaluation of buildings or large properties, aerial photography plays a huge role which is best achieved in the event the photos are removed from a helicopter. The reason behind this is quite simple i.e. a helicopter can remain still and thus produce a better environment for taking pictures when compared with a regular plane. Among its problems though, is the perspective correction and so some pictures made in certain angles may lead to incorrect perspective. By way of example, near objects may tend to look too big when compared with far placed objects. Remember, the good reasons for having it are endless and actually in order to sell a big estate make use of an airplane for faster and great evaluation results.
