You might have seen Leah Devora`s striking and alluring art in the media hanging on the groups of HBO`s hit series, Entourage, along with E.R., Without having a Trace, West Wing and Six Feet Under or maybe with the Arc Light Theater on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where she'd an exhibit of stars and celebrities around the walls relating to the cinemas. Her art is bold, exciting and delightful. I purchase inspired by every day life situations that we encounter and moving into the thing that was the initial Old Hollywood neighborhood with the 1920s. Leah works in mixed media, on celebrity pop art canvas, on paper, placed on wood, combining pictures of photography manipulated and digitally painted over a computer, along with with traditional oil and acrylic paints.

From Silver Lake to Beverly Hills, shopping carts are scattered on front lawns, lurking in groups, choosing a rest around the front yard as well as waiting in the bus stop. They may be an indigenous area of the L.A. landscape. She integrates these images with those of the Golden Age of Hollywood. A few of my work consists of imagery that we call the Ghosts of La. Whether the abandoned shopping carts left about the sidewalks of Los Feliz or photos of silent film starlets, the force of these displaced figurines haunt the neighborhoods of Hollywood of the past somewhat forgotten. The Ghosts that lie underneath the Hills, they walk amongst us. My landscapes are paintings which are the personification of the motifs, a number of them I complement the silhouettes of Old Hollywood celebrities and freeways. I create the artwork using graphics and oil painting techniques. I prefer paints, photography and paint digitally with the oil painting program on the pc.
