LEAH DEVORA`S POP ART CANVAS IS REALY A CLASSIC AMERICAN POP ART EXPERIENCE9413764

You may have seen Leah Devora`s striking and alluring art in the media hanging on the sets of HBO`s hit series, Entourage, along with E.R., Without having a Trace, West Wing and Six Feet Under or maybe with the Arc Light Theater on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where she'd an exhibition of stars and celebrities about the walls relating to the theatres. Her art is bold, exciting and delightful. I get inspired by normal life situations which i encounter and residing in the thing that was the initial Old Hollywood neighborhood in the 1920s. Leah works in mixed media, on bob marley pop art, in writing, installed on wood, combining pictures of photography manipulated and digitally painted on the computer, along with with traditional oil and acrylic paints.

My biggest strength will be the power to visualize something from starting out completion conceptually and then create my painting with a very honest vision. I’m a colorist and I really realize how to use color in my act as well as composition. When Leah gone after L . a . five years ago, she was interested in all of the freeways especially shopping carts appearing, disappearing, reappearing. From Silver Lake to Beverly Hills, shopping carts are scattered on front lawns, hanging out in groups, taking a rest about the entry as well as waiting with the bus stop. They are an indigenous area of the L.A. landscape. She integrates these images with that relating to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Several of my work includes imagery which i call the Ghosts of Los Angeles. Whether the abandoned shopping carts left about the sidewalks of Los Feliz or photos of silent film starlets, the force of such displaced figurines haunt the neighborhoods of Hollywood of your past somewhat forgotten. The Ghosts that lie underneath the Hills, they walk amongst us. My landscapes are paintings which can be the personification of these motifs, many of them I complement the silhouettes of Old Hollywood celebrities and freeways. I produce the artwork using graphic design and oil painting techniques. I use paints, photography and paint digitally by having an oil painting program using the pc.
