The bride`s Greek roots and the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in a over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, with a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so near to home. But after three and a half years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right within the very same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on every other. “We were meant to go to a birthday dinner which has a gang of friends,” says the bride to be. “As i was leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed that there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and the man took it up to the rooftop pool to evaluate it out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to get the terrace encircled by candles, with a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting exclusively for her to say yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
