The bride`s Greek roots and the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, for restaurants manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, in a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so near home. But after three and a half years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right in the similar view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were supposed to check out a birthday dinner with a number of friends,” says the bride. “As i was leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and that he took it to the rooftop pool to evaluate out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, having a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting just for her to state yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
