The bride`s Greek roots and also the groom`s Scottish heritage combined within an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, for restaurants manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, in a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she i never thought love could hit so all-around home. But after three and a half years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right from the similar view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on every other. “We were meant to search for a birthday dinner using a group of friends,” says bride. “As we were leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed that there was obviously a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and that he took it to the rooftop pool to check out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, which has a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting just for her to say yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
