The bride`s Greek roots and also the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in a over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, for restaurants manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, with a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so near home. But after 3 . 5 years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right from the very same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were supposed to go to a birthday dinner which has a group of friends,” says bride. “As we had arrived leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed that there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and wanted to go to the rooftop pool to evaluate against each other.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to obtain the terrace encircled by candles, having a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting only for her to convey yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
