The bride`s Greek roots along with the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in a over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, for restaurants manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at the rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never thought love could hit so near to home. But after 3 . 5 many years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right within the identical view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were supposed to check out a birthday dinner having a group of friends,” says the bride. “As we had been leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument anf the husband wanted to go to the rooftop pool to check on it out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to find the terrace encircled by candles, having a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting just for her to convey yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
