The bride`s Greek roots and the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in a over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a cafe or restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, at a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never thought love could hit so near home. But after three and a half many years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right inside the very same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on every other. “We were supposed to visit a birthday dinner with a band of friends,” says the bride to be. “As we were leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument anf the husband wanted to go to the rooftop pool to test out.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to get the terrace encircled by candles, which has a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting simply for her to say yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
