When Sabrina Bells, a nearby restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, with a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so close to home. But after three and a half many years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right from the identical view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were likely to go to a birthday dinner with a group of friends,” says the bride. “As we had arrived leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there would be a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and took it to the rooftop pool to test against each other.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, having a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting exclusively for her to express yes.
