The bride`s Greek roots along with the groom`s Scottish heritage combined in an over-the-top celebration. When Sabrina Bells, a nearby restaurant manager, met Bancroft Henderson, an analyst, in a rooftop pool party at her condo in Arlington, she never imagined love could hit so all-around home. But after 3 . 5 numerous years of dating, Bancroft proposed-right within the exact same view-friendly spot where they first laid eyes on each other. “We were supposed to check out a birthday dinner having a group of friends,” says the bride. “As we were leaving my apartment, Bancroft claimed there was obviously a green light illuminating the Washington Monument and took it to the rooftop pool to evaluate it.” Confused, Sabrina followed Bancroft upstairs to discover the terrace encircled by candles, having a bottle of Champagne and roses waiting simply for her to say yes. A ceremony that elegantly wove Sabrina’s Greek Orthodox roots with Bancroft’s Scottish heritage followed nine months later, on September 15, 2012.
